ABOUT THIS COURSE
There are basic ideas and definitions that extend to all supply chains and can be represented in relatively simple models. However, implementing them in a real-world supply chain necessitates the use of infrastructure across various platforms. Technology has long been used to increase the quality and efficiency of supply chains. Because of the sheer size and complexity of most supply chains, several distinct processes must communicate with one another.
Unfortunately, technology is an ever-changing goal. It is continually changing and developing, so today’s technology will be obsolete in a few years or months. Rather than concentrating on a single software interface, this business and management course would concentrate on three areas: basic principles, key concepts, and data analysis.
We will begin with an overview of the basic principles used in all software tools. We’ll go into IT basics like project management and program processes, as well as data modelling, UML, relational databases, and SQL. In addition, we will discuss Internet technology such as XML, network servers, and service-oriented architectures. There is no need for previous programming expertise.
Then, we’ll go through the various forms of supply chain applications, such as ERP, WMS, and TMS programs. We’ll go into their key features, how they function, how they’re used, their design, data flows, and how they’re grouped into modules. We will also go through the product development process and how to coordinate and execute program updates and installation programs.
Finally, we’ll get into data collection, which is important for all big supply chains. We will cover visualization and large data processing methods that are currently in use.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Project management and software methods, data modelling, UML, relational databases, and SQL are all examples of fundamental IT principles.
- ERP, WMS, and TMS are all examples of supply chain management systems.
- Data analysis from supply chain systems
