ABOUT THIS COURSE
RISC-V is a free and open instruction set architecture (ISA) that enables a new age of processor advancement through open standard cooperation. This course will walk you through the different aspects of understanding the RISC-V project ecosystem, RISC-V International, the RISC-V standards and how to better curate and improve them, as well as the technological aspects of interacting with RISC-V as a developer and end-user.
This course provides a high-level analysis of RISC-V International as well as instructions for getting started with the RISC-V ISA. The course provides you with the skills you need to successfully participate in the RISC-V culture, contribute to the ISA standards, and build a broad variety of RISC-V software projects. You will have a greater understanding of the terminology, tools, and workflow needed to complete your RISC-V journey after completing this course.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
In this course, you will learn about RISC-V as a technology, an international organisation, and a network of developers as well as its design, history, ongoing activities, and other fundamentals. You can also learn about the organisation of RISC-V technical working groups, as well as the foundations of community-based open specification implementation and how the RISC-V ISA is created as an open specification. Furthermore, you will discover how individuals and organisations will benefit from and contribute to RISC-V, and you will be able to test the RISC-V ISA with a simulator booting the Linux operating system.
