ABOUT THIS PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
The ONAP project addresses an increasing need for a common interface that enables telecommunications, cable, and cloud networks, as well as their solution providers, to deliver differentiated network services on-demand, profitably, and competitively, thus leveraging existing investments.
This course is designed specifically for technical teams at service providers and companies that introduce, develop, and scale their networks and next-generation services, particularly as 5G and edge computing become more prevalent.
The subjects addressed in this course are closely related to the competence domains evaluated by the Accredited ONAP Professional exam (which will be available in late 2020), greatly enhancing students’ ability to become qualified.
The lab experiments will be carried out on seven custom VMs from your GCP account (six for setting up ONAP and one for OpenStack cloud). The typical cloud cost is $4/hour paid to GCP directly. (This will vary depending on how long your VMs run, your place, and GCP price changes.) The course contains detailed directions for setting up your lab room.

ABOUT CERTIFICATION EXAM
This qualification is intended for engineers at service providers and businesses who plan, deploy, and scale networks and next-generation systems, especially given the increasing importance of 5G and edge computing. The analysis confirms a fundamental understanding of the underlying cloud system (e.g., Kubernetes and OpenStack) as well as working knowledge of modeling languages (e.g. Heat and TOSCA).
This is a proctored online exam that will last up to three hours. The test is results-oriented and includes features that mimic on-the-job scenarios. This exam registration is for a SINGLE ATTEMPT at the ONAP CERTIFIED Professional Exam. The exam configuration includes a Remote Desktop Linux Environment and nested virtualized architecture.

A COP candidate must be able to onboard Virtual Network Functions (VNFs), schedule and implement network services, and configure VNFs. Candidates must also provide a basic understanding of closed-loop automation, such as closed-loop design and runtime behavior. A candidate may also have basic troubleshooting experience in order to find conflicts with network networks and closed-loops.
