ABOUT THIS PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
This course will teach you how to secure container-based applications and Kubernetes systems during the development, implementation, and runtime phases. This online session is appropriate for someone with a CKA degree who is associated with or responsible for cloud security.
This course would greatly boost students’ ability to become qualified by preparing them for the Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) Exam.
Obtaining a CKS certifies that a candidate has the necessary skills to secure container-based applications and Kubernetes systems during build, rollout, and runtime, and that they are eligible to perform these tasks in a professional environment.Skills obtained will significantly improve students’ ability to become qualified by preparing them for the Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) Exam.
LAB INFO
Access to a Linux server or Linux desktop/laptop is required for hands-on lab experiments. You’ll also need access to a public cloud service or VirtualBox installed on your desktop. This course’s lab experiments have been reviewed in a GCP setting.
You should be able to complete the lab activities using the free tier or credits offered by a cloud service such as GCP or AWS. However, if you use more credits than the cloud service originally allotted, you can be charged.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to handle security in fast-paced, multi-project environments. This course tackles cloud production protection issues and delves into the security container supply chain, covering subjects ranging from before a cluster is implemented to installation and continuing, as well as agile use, including where to find ongoing security and vulnerability information. The course includes hands-on labs for creating and protecting a Kubernetes cluster, as well as tracking and recording security incidents.
ABOUT CERTIFICATION EXAM
The Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) programme guarantees that a CKS has the knowledge, skills, and integrity to protect container-based applications and Kubernetes systems during the development, deployment, and runtime phases. You must have CKA certification to take this exam.
A Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) is an advanced Kubernetes expert (must be CKA certified) who has demonstrated knowledge of best practises for defending container-based systems and Kubernetes platforms during build, deployment, and runtime.
Exam Details & Resources
Before taking the Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certification, applicants must first complete the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam.
CKS can be purchased, but it cannot be booked until CKA certification is achieved.
On the day the CKS test (including retakes) is planned, the CKA certification must be valid.
This exam is an online, proctored, performance-based test that requires you to do several tasks using Kubernetes from a command line. The tasks must be completed within two hours.
Candidates who register for the Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) exam will receive two test simulator attempts (per exam registration).
