ABOUT THIS COURSE
Learn the fundamentals of service mesh and gain hands-on experience with Linkerd, CNCF’s open source, open governance, ultralight Kubernetes service mesh, which includes transparent mTLS, golden analytics, traffic shifting, and multi-cluster interaction.
Site reliability experts, DevOps experts, cluster managers, and developers who want to learn more about server mesh and Linkerd should take this course. Students should be familiar with the main Kubernetes resource types and be able to read and write YAML before enrolling. Students should also be able to operate in a Linux terminal environment and run a Kubernetes cluster locally or in the cloud. It’s also helpful to know how to build container images and run them in Kubernetes with kubectl.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
After completing this course, you’ll know what a service mesh is, what it’s useful for, and how it fits with the rest of the cloud native ecosystem. You’ll learn how to use Linkerd to provide Kubernetes applications with the service mesh value propositions of security, durability, and observability. Finally, you’ll have the hands-on experience needed to comfortably run Linkerd in a production setting. You will be able to deploy and run Linkerd, as well as stable, observe, and add reliability to your Kubernetes applications, using the Linkerd CLI and UI.
